#13 Network Meeting

Circular Furniture Network brings together 30+ Danish furniture brands that want to evolve – not alone, but together. The network has become a confidential and mature space where companies share experiences, challenges, and ambitions, and where, in recent years, we have worked on joint projects related to biodiversity, materials, data, and life-extension.

Meeting #13 marks an important step in the network’s development: a day where we celebrate what we have created, while also addressing the difficult issues – so we can strengthen Circular Furniture Network as an even more powerful project engine for the industry.

The day will open at Mater, who will welcome us into their showroom and share their journey from 2006 to today – showing how circular ambition can be transformed into real material innovation through MATEK.

After that, we turn the focus inward.

We reflect on what we have learned from the projects we have tried to lift together:
Where we succeeded. Where we struggled. Where things stalled.

And why it is so difficult to create momentum across brands – even when the willingness is there. The steering group will lead a joint evaluation and a conversation about how we can build more robust project formats, clearer frameworks, and stronger collaboration between Circular Furniture Network and Lifestyle & Design Cluster.

The ambition is clear: Circular Furniture Network should be a place where joint projects can actually be realised – with structure, funding, and coordinated effort.

This is followed by an introduction to Lifestyle & Design Cluster and insights from two projects that closely align with the ambitions of Circular Furniture Network: R’evolve and Data for Business – including a digital product passport exercise on life cycles and data.

After lunch, we dive into a theme for which the industry is increasingly seeking guidance: greenwashing and responsible communication.

Here, we welcome two of the country’s leading speakers at the intersection of ESG, communication, and commercial practice:

  • Line Schmeltz from the Danish School of Media and Journalism offers a research-based and practice-oriented perspective on why communicating social responsibility is so complex.
  • Steffen Max Høgh & Holger Enevoldsen from SustainBusiness present the communications report developed with the AI model Allasia and unfold how sales organisations can translate ESG into real value without falling into greenwashing traps.

The day concludes with a joint reflection: What do we take home – and how do we apply it in our companies and in the next phase of the network?
