The Furniture Seminar is the industry’s annual gathering. Here, companies, designers, architects, specialists, and educational institutions meet to share the latest knowledge and engage with the most important agendas. In 2025, we focus on a special theme: how artificial intelligence can be transformed into innovation, circularity, design, and business in the furniture industry of the future.
AI is no longer a future scenario – it is a technology that is already transforming the way we produce, design, and do business. For many, however, AI can still seem overwhelming and distant from everyday life. That’s why the seminar focuses on concrete, inspiring, and innovative opportunities with AI.
Finally, we’ll take a look at what Danish design represents in an international perspective with the keynote by Anniina Koivu.

In just a few years, artificial intelligence has gone from being a niche field to becoming one of the most transformative technologies of our time. The need for knowledge is clear. During Lifestyle & Design Cluster’s more than 150 dialogue visits in 2025, the majority of companies pointed out that they lack an understanding of how AI can be used in practice and how they can implement the technology responsibly and effectively in their business – this is what Furniture Seminar 2025 aims to address.

Peter er uddannet ingeniør og har i en årrække arbejdet for globale teknologi virksomheder i forskellige lederstillinger. I den forbindelse har han altid arbejdet med de nyeste teknologier, og det gør sig også gældende i dag, hvor han er CEO for en softwarevirksomhed, som hjælper industrielle virksomheder med at digitalisere deres produktion. Her er AI et vigtigt værktøj, som bliver brugt i forskellige områder fra at se mønstre i store datamængder til at styre robotter. Han ser AI som en teknologi, der er virkelig banebrydende og vil få stor indflydelse på mange aspekter af vores liv.
Forsker og arkitekt, der undersøger, hvordan AI kan bruges til udforske designprocesser og som dialogværktøj i forbindelse med evaluering af rumligheder og planlægning af fremtidens byer. Afsøger generativ AI ud fra human-in-the-loop strategier, der skal sikre innovation og kvalitet i en AI-tid.
Med base i Zürich og Milano giver hun et internationalt blik på dansk design: ikke kun arven og historien, men også hvordan vi kan positionere os globalt i fremtiden.
Tanja Blindbæk Olsen er branchedirektør i Træ- og Møbelindustrien (TMI) i Dansk Industri. TMI varetager interesserne for danske møbelproducenter, leverandører af stole, skabe, borde til danske hjem, køkkenproducenter samt for savværker og producenter af bl.a. byggematerialer i træ. TMI arbejder for at sikre de bedste vilkår for medlemmerne uanset om det handler om erhvervets arbejde med den grønne omstilling, styrket konkurrenceevne, bæredygtige forsyningskæder og arbejdskraft i verdensklasse. Tanja har en langerfaring med politisk interessevaretagelse, dokumentation af bæredygtighed og organisationsarbejde
Betina Simonsen har en international baggrund fra livsstilsbranchen med ledende stillinger i både Asien og Europa inden for møbler, interiør og beklædning. I de seneste 18 år har hun stået i spidsen for Lifestyle & Design Cluster, som har opnået det prestigefyldte europæiske guldcertifikat og er anerkendt som en af Europas førende klynger. Her arbejder hun med at drive den cirkulære transformation af livsstilsbranchen og skabe internationale netværk og vækstmuligheder for virksomheder. Betina er desuden aktiv i flere bestyrelser og rådgivende udvalg inden for både offentlige og private aktører.
Claus Ejlertsen arbejder med digitalisering i en international møbeltekstilvirksomhed med fokus på, hvordan digitale værktøjer og AI kan skabe værdi i praksis. Han har en praktisk tilgang til innovation og bruger aktivt AI og datadrevet analyse til at optimere processer og udvikle løsninger.
Arbejder med at anvende AI til billedgenkendelse, afvigelseskontrol og nye former for kundeinteraktion.
Allerede i 2022 blev LTP’s Sustainability Report skrevet med AI som med-forfatter, og i dag bruger alle administrative medarbejdere GPT Business. Han har implementeret OpenAI i kundeservice og ledet pilotprojekter med strategisk fokus på implementering af AI. Henrik arbejder målrettet med at kombinere teknologi, kvalitet og bæredygtige løsninger i møbelbranchen.
Loa Brix er AI-rådgiver og programchef for AI-kompetencepagten. Hun har en lang karriere i kommunikation og branding bag sig og har blandt andet arbejdet som CMO i Gyldendal og kontorchef i Energiministeriet. I dag guider hun virksomheder og organisationer i AI-omstillingen med fokus på kommunikation, kreative processer og ledelse
Heidi Svane Pedersen er Head of Digital, Lifestyle & Design Cluster. Specialist i digital innovation, AI og cirkulære forretningsmodeller for mode, møbel og retail.
Henrik Hvid Jensen, author of Circular Economy Opportunities and Pathways for Manufacturers, works at the intersection of AI, digitization, and circular business models. He is convinced that mastering AI and circularity will be essential for staying competitive by 2030. With deep industry experience, he helps companies capitalize on this convergence, turning it into practical opportunities for profitable growth and sustainability.
Anders Jepsen Founder and CEO of NORNORM, a circular, subscription-based furnishing service backed by Inter IKEA and Verdane. With over 15 years of international leadership experience from IKEA and a background in business strategy, he is driving NORNORM’s rapid expansion across 17 countries. His mission: to make circular and flexible office solutions accessible to the many, not the few.
Gustav Bang er CEO og cofounder i Complir, en AI-platform der hjælper retailers med at sælge produkter globalt, uden at drukne i compliance arbejde. Complir samler alle krav, data og processer på én platform og automatiserer store dele af compliance arbejdet, så teams kan fokusere på at få produkter på hylden hurtigere, billigere og med færre fejl.
Professor MSO, Furniture Design
Mads Hindhede Svanegaard is an industrial designer and the founder of Designersvane, a Danish design studio with clients mainly within med-tech and consumer electronics. With over 18 years of experience, he’s helped brands like Coloplast, Jabra, and GN bring intuitive, user-centered products to life. He is also developing interior design objects like furniture and lamps in his own studio, and he also shares his expertise as a lecturer at SDU and Kolding School of Design. His work blends Scandinavian minimalism with functional clarity.
Kristina May er designer og stifter af brandbureauet AM Copenhagen. Hun er uddannet møbeldesigner fra Kunstakademiet og arbejder i dag strategisk med at udvikle og positionere brands – fra internationale luksusbrands til danske kulturinstitutioner – med fokus på design som en reel driver for forretning og fremtidig relevans. Derudover er hun vært på Design Kan, Danmarks mest lyttede designpodcast, og sidder i flere bestyrelser, bl.a. Stelton.
Anders Astrup Andersen er senior designer hos Henning Larsen Arkitekter med fokus på møbel- og indretningsløsninger i arkitekturprojekter, hvor han kombinerer håndværk og digitale værktøjer. Han arbejder med designprocesser, materialevalg og prototyping — herunder eksperimenter med AI som support i konceptudvikling og brugercentrerede løsninger.
