The Nordic-Baltic Textile Transition Group unites stakeholders to share knowledge and practices, supporting the textile sector’s transition.
The Nordic-Baltic Textile Transition Group (NBTTG) is a collaborative platform bringing together companies, researchers, civil society, and public-sector actors across the Nordic-Baltic region.
The purpose of NBTTG is to facilitate knowledge exchange, share best practices and case studies, and serve as a neutral platform for dialogue, creating a space where cross-sector collaboration can emerge and contribute to accelerating the circular transition of the textile sector – a challenge that requires coordinated action across borders and value chains.
Each year, the group will focus on two to three priority topics identified by its steering group.
All activities are conducted in English.
The Nordic-Baltic Textile Transition Group helps connect the dots across the Nordic-Baltic textile sector.
Companies gain access to a cross-border network of businesses, researchers, civil society organisations, and public-sector actors working on shared transition challenges. Through webinars, meetings, and shared resources, participants gain new knowledge, inspiration, and potential collaboration partners.
The initiative supports Lifestyle and Design Cluster’s vision of helping companies become among the most innovative in the world through access to new knowledge, new ideas, and strong collaborative networks.
The Nordic-Baltic textile sector faces shared challenges related to resource use, waste generation, regulatory change, and the need to scale circular solutions. At the same time, the region holds strong competencies in design, innovation, policy development, and sustainability.
The Nordic-Baltic Textile Transition Group was established to create a structured space for networking, knowledge exchange, and alignment across countries and sectors.
NBTTG is led by Lifestyle and Design Cluster in collaboration with a Nordic-Baltic steering group. Lifestyle and Design Cluster is a founding member of the Nordic Circular Hotspot (NCH), and NBTTG forms part of the Nordic Circular Hotspot transition group community.
Participation in the Nordic-Baltic Textile Transition Group is open through webinars and other NBTTG events.
