Join the Nordic-Baltic textile dialogue as Nordic-Baltic Textile Circularity Forum 2026 brings together policymakers, businesses, researchers, and innovation actors from across the region in Riga on 7–8 October. Together, they will focus on solutions, collaboration, and the framework conditions needed for the transition to a circular textile sector.
On 7 October, the tExtended project takes centre stage. The programme will include insights into high-potential opportunities across the textile value chain, demonstrations of digital tools, and the key conditions needed to reduce textile waste in the EU by 80%.
On 8 October, the focus shifts to the Nordic-Baltic region. The programme will address the current state of textile circularity, feature a policy debate on EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility), and explore how to shape the Nordic-Baltic future of textile circularity.
The Nordic-Baltic Textile Transition Group is part of the dialogue. Members of the group will participate in both the opening panel and the closing discussion on the Nordic-Baltic way forward. Representing Lifestyle and Design Cluster, Betina Simonsen will take part in both panels, while Frederik Thrane will moderate the closing discussion.
On 9 October, the work continues as the steering group of the Nordic-Baltic Textile Transition Group and specially invited participants meet for a strategy session. The meeting will focus on developing future collaboration and new joint Nordic-Baltic initiatives.
