Lifestyle & Design Cluster is part of a new project with partners in both Norway and Sweden to strengthen and develop small craft companies. The project is called Craft Go and has been supported by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak program.
CRAFT GO is based on company development, innovation and cultural history. Lifestyle & Design Cluster is a partner in the project.
Lifestyle & Design Cluster will collaborate with Regionsmuseet Kristianstad, Krinova Inkubator og Science Park, Kristianstad – both from Sweden and with Norges Vel in Oslo, Norway.
Business development
The goal for the project is to provide micro-companies in the field of design and traditional crafts with support and tools to run more profitable businesses and with the project to grow into small businesses that work with traditional crafts.
Keep old crafts alive
This is done by helping companies become better at doing business, but also by teaching them how to use cultural history in their product development and marketing. We hope through the project to create a foundation for more people to live by practicing traditional crafts.
New products and new business models
Among other things, Lifestyle & Design Cluster will contribute with tools and methods and facilitate development processes, as well as we will provide analysis and evaluations.
The project
Craft Go was launched on January 1, 2020 and runs until 31rst. September, 2022. The project is based on a preliminary study conducted by Den Gamle By, Krinova and Regionsmuseet Kristianstad in 2019. In Craft Go, a minimum of 20 Danish artisan companies can participate and get business models, new partners and strengthen their international networks.
