BaltSe@nioR 2.00 er som navnet antyder et projekt, der bygger videre på viden og erfaringer fra Balte@nioR 1.00, som du kan læse om her.
Projektets formål er på tværs af landene omkring Østersøen at støtte møbel- og interiør virksomheder samt offentlige kommuner og aktører med viden og værktøjer med så de kan skabe mere seniorvenlige, offentlige rum.
Blandt andet står Lifestyle & Design Cluster for videreudvikling af et online vidensbibliotek, Virtual Library, med fokus på ældre, deres behov og præferencer I forhold til møbler både I deres hjem og I offentlige rum. Du kan få adgang til den store vidensbank, hvor du både kan få og dele viden samt promovere din egen virksomhed, ved at oprette en gratis profil på: baltsenior.com
Vi står desuden for at lave netværksgruppe bestående af kommuner, møbelproducenter der opererer på kontraktmarkedet og med seniormålgruppen samt ældreorganisationer, forskere og andre interessenter med det formål at diskutere behov, best practice i forhold til offentlige rum- kan vi arbejde med udbud, så de både bliver mere bæredygtige og mere seniorvenlige på møbel- og interiørsiden. Vi vil også arbejde med sociale forretningsmodeller, og besøge nogle af de offentlige rum, hvor man allerede har arbejdet med seniorvenlig adgang og brug. Der vil også blive mulighed for at deltage i en internationalt netværk på tværs af Østersøregionen. Netværksgruppens arbejde vil tage udgangspunkt i deltagernes behov.

Onsdag d. 19. maj 2021: Hvordan designer vi offentlige rum til seniorer i fremtiden?
Vi har afholdt den første, inspirerende og spændende internationale konference omkring seniorvenlige offentlige rum i BaltSe@nioR 2.0 regi med 77 deltagere fra 11 forskellige lande.
Hvor bl.a. Sidse Carroll, forsker og Ph.d. fra Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design gav inspirerende tips til, hvordan man med små greb, og ved at inkludere brugerne, kan lave mange gode løsninger, der tilgodeser +65 år segmentet i det offentlige rum.

Den 9. november 2020: Lifestyle & Design Clusters samarbejdspartner Satakunta University i Finland afholder online workshop med titlen: ”Smart furniture and wearables” d. 9. november kl. 11.00-13:30 (CET)/12-14:30 (EET):
Satakunta University om eventet:
“The workshop is organized in collaboration between BaltSenior 2.0 and ReactiveToo projects. In Smart furniture and wearables workshop different technologies and their possibilities are presented. You can see some prototypes and meet partners from different disciplines. The workshop is all about networking. The three topics covered are 1) Improvement and use ideas for the smart furniture, 2) Improvement and use ideas for the smart clothing and 3) Ideas that you or your company can bring to the development of such technologies. The workshop is targeted at furniture, textile and technological businesses, healthcare professionals, researchers and students. The workshop will use Microsoft Teams platform.”
The 10th June 2020, Circular Economy expert, Henrik Nørgaard Sørensen, Lifestyle & Design Cluster, held a webinar concerning United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in BaltSe@nioR 2.0.
The webinar was focused on the transition from linear to circular economy, and the importance of thinking differently about the way we use the resources.
The furniture and textile industries are some of the biggest consumers of raw materials. Furthermore companies in these industries aren’t focusing on the afterlife of the produced products.
There is a need for a changed mindset, and a need for a common language across the world , which is one of the reasons behind the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
In 2015 all leaders of the world agreed to the worlds most important plan. They agreed to United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals for a sustainable future. The 17 SDGs provide a unique opportunity for companies, public institutions, NGOs and other organizations to think differently and communicate about how they are a part of the solution for a better future. They are part of the solution and not of the problem.
